FlexiHaven
FlexiHaven is a housing platform designed to improve access to safe and affordable rental housing in Nigeria by introducing flexible payment options, improving agent accountability, and enabling clearer, location-based property discovery.
Problem
Research showed that the biggest friction in Nigeria’s rental market was not availability, but trust and payment rigidity. Renters struggled with opaque agent processes, unclear property information, and rigid annual payment demands, making house-hunting costly, stressful, and exclusionary.
Product Strategy and Decisions
● Anchored the MVP on payment flexibility and agent accountability, prioritising access and trust over full property aggregation. ● Prioritised location-based property matching to minimise misleading listings and reduce wasted site visits. ● Defined agent vetting, codes of conduct, and review mechanisms as core platform features to reduce abuse and misinformation. ● Translated research insights into a focused PRD and prototype that demonstrated clear interactions between tenants, agents, and property owners without over-scoping the MVP.
